I made this mini using a technique demonstrated by Jenny Doan of the Missouri Quilt Company. You make half squares by sandwiching two squares together, sew around all 4 edges, and then crosscut into 4 half square triangles. I am still still struggling with accuracy on tiny triangles. There needs to be some quilting in the solid dark areas but the execution of this idea is such a failure that I don’t want to spend anymore time on it.
This mini ended up a mess but I believe in posting failures as well as successes. I can’t curate the craft mistakes out of my life. That’s just a fake version of reality.
This quilt is 6 7/8″ x 8 7/8″.
Enjoy the mismatched points and uneven seam lines. It’s a hot mess!
