Today’s mini quilt is a micro quilt. It measures a wee 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″. Other than being slight too long (proportionally), I am very pleased with this quilt.
The inspiration for this quilt is a quilt titled “Amish Bars” from Lancaster County, PA, c. 1930.
I love Amish quilts. The simplicity and clean lines means that they don’t go out of style. They are both traditional AND modern at the same time. I’m coming to love the micro quilts more than the larger mini quilts. I can see myself making micro quilts for the rest of the month and making they all into Christmas ornaments.
